I wish I can wear a bathing suit or a bikini every day. They’re so comfortable and for some reason, immediately makes me feel super relaxed. I love this tan bathing suit so much that it wasn’t until it shipped to my home that I realized that its the exact same bathing suit I wore for my birthday last year. One of my good friends, Laneesha Ford is the founder of Cali Swim. When she decided to name a bathing suit after me, I knew I had to have it. So I…
Is Crushed Velvet Still A Thing?
It feels like every girl has a mini velvet dress in her closet. At one point, velvet dresses were quite the trend but things have changed a bit. Although it’s no longer trending, it’s hard to find a girl without a velvet piece that she loves hanging up in her room. When I bought this dress, I knew it would be perfect for a night out. As the world is still in a pandemic, I’m currently not partaking in night outings but its definitely great for a cute evening. Is…
Can We Still Wear Bandeaus + Short Skirts?
Happy September! At this point, many are yearning for jackets, blazers, sweaters and beyond! I’m still loving a good 2 piece set (or creating one by monochroming). Some may wonder if we can still wear bandeaus and short skirts and the answer is yes! It’s not cold yet. Although our air conditioning is not at an all-time high anymore, the weather is at such a perfect temperature that whether we go for a bandeau or a long-sleeved top, the body still feels just right. I paired an orange skirt with…
White Floral Sheer Casuals
I kept it casual in a white floral sheer dress paired with high-waist shorts. Full transparency: Having a love/dislike relationship with this dress keeps me from wearing it. I initially paired it with a blue shirt dress a couple of years ago while at New York Fashion Week and I got to wear it again this summer but this time as a top. Sometimes, a difference in size can really make a break an item. Its wayyy too big for a size medium and I should have stuck to the small, but…
Fenty Beauty Snap Shadow 10 Money Review
I finally got my hands on a Fenty Beauty Snap Shadow so I’m excited to share my review of Snap Shadow 10 Money! My love of mini palettes (because they’re travel friendly) drew me to the Snap Shadows many months ago, yet the colors seemed redundant for me to buy. When the tenth Snap Shadow Released, I knew I had to get my hands on Money (no not actual money, the palette is called Money LOL). I’ve never had a green eyeshadow palette before so this was long overdue! Without…
Yellow Floral Maxi Skirt
What I love most about maxi skirts is that they’re so easy to wear. Not only is it a fun summer staple but it can add elegance to many fall looks. I plan on sharing different ways to wear maxi skirts so stay tuned for that. In the mean time, lets chat about this yellow floral maxi skirt paired with an orange bandeau. For some reason, bandeaus are my go-to during the summer. At this point, I’m just looking for reasons to wear bandeaus. We still have about 30 days…
Pink Bathing Suit
I didn’t know what else to title this blog post without calling it what it is. A pink bathing suit. LOL. With hotel prices at an all-time low and flights being cheaper than an uber, some are taking advantage of what could be the only time they could experience an excursion at such a low cost. This week I want to dive into swimwear as well as other summer looks because lets face it! Whether a pandemic is going on or not, its still summer and we’re still going to…
How I Got Abs in 6 Days
I got abs in 6 days by being resilient and being focused on the goal. Getting abs in 6 days may sound impossible to some but I believe anything is possible once you put your mind to it. After overindulging in peanuts and other snacks, I noticed that my stomach wasn’t as defined as it normally is. Although peanuts are healthy, too much of anything can become bad for you. I decided to give myself 6 days to get abs and document the entire thing. Check out the video below…
Fenty Skin Review
I was so excited to review Fenty Skin that I made sure I secured early access to purchase it. I’m typically not into skincare because I’ve always been scared to experiment with my skin. Keeping it minimal (cleanse & moisturize with shea butter) has always worked for me and I really don’t get breakouts, so I have a fear of skincare products messing up my skin. Some may think that’s weird because I love to play in makeup, but I hold skincare in a higher regard, and I’m more comfortable…
20 Black Creators To Follow
Sharing this list of black creators to follow is probably my favorite out of my black owned series! This list includes creators that I’ve loved and supported for many years as well as some that I found just a couple of years ago. While supporting black creators and building the black economy, please also support the organizations fighting inequality by checking out this national resource list that includes petitions and legal services for protesters. An easy and free way to contribute is by searching “Black Lives Matter Donate Playlist” on YouTube. Simply let…
