As if we weren’t already impressed by Yara Shahidi‘s accomplishments, she has launched 7th Sun Productions with her mother Keri Shahidi. The icing on the cake is that they will be partnering with ABC Studios to create scripted and unscripted projects.
Yara Shahidi has always been vocal about the injustice that black and brown people unfortunately face on a regular basis and in her recent Elle Magazine feature, she spoke on passing the baton. This is truly a huge way to pay it forward and contribute to the community.
Starring in the hit show Blackish on ABC and moving forward to being the lead at Grownish on Freeform has kept Yara Shahidi a part of ABC Studios for quite some years.
It’s beautiful to witness child stars persevere and bloom into such incredible adults. I’m excited to see whats in store for 7th Sun Productions.
