Raspberry AI – Fashion Tech at New York Tech Week

Fashion has infiltrated New York Tech Week and as a lover of style, I’m happy to see it. Tech Week doesn’t just take place in New York, it’s also in other major tech hubs in the country like Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Atlanta. Led by a16z, New York has quickly become a top tech hub with over 1,000 events during tech week in 2025 compared to the 700 events hosted in the big apple during New York Tech Week in 2024.

What is a16z?

a16z is short for Andreessen Horowitz. As a private capital firm with most of its assets in tech companies focused on “AI, bio + healthcare, consumer, crypto, enterprise, fintech, games, infrastructure, and companies building toward American dynamism. a16z has $45B in committed capital across multiple funds.” a16z launched tech week in 2022 in Los Angeles and has grown immensely.

Redefining Fashion with Raspberry AI

With this being my 2nd year experiencing Tech Week, I was pleasantly surprised by the influx of fashion tech events educating professionals in creative roles about new AI features that could make their work easier to manage.

When I stepped into Loft Off 5th, I knew I was in for a treat. Dressed in a pink checkered top and bottom from Amazon, which I like to call picnic table chic and also referred to as gingham, I was immediately at ease with the ambiance featuring chandelier-filled ceilings.

Trusted by Adore Me, Meshki, Adrianna Papel, Revole, H&M, Crocs, Ann Taylor, Chico’s, Fashion Institute of Technology (SUNY), and Sketchers, Raspberry AI helps designers design apparel with their outfit generator tool. With the ability to customize the generative ai, designers may not have worry about Rasberry AI deviating from the brand’s style.

Although I think AI will be helpful in creating designs at a faster pace, I wonder if designers will begin to lose their talent of sketching designs if they consistently utilize tools to create designs. What do you think of collections created with AI?
