NYFW | Influencers in Fashion | Kevan Hall Spring 2022

Between the VMAs, US Open, the Met Gala and New York Fashion Week occurring just a few days apart from each other, its safe to believe that New York is slowly getting back in the swing of things. It felt like everything was happening at the same time. I stepped out for NYFW wearing a very bright Christopher John Rogers for Target dress (that I like to call a highlighter dress) and paired it with the Befitting Style Dashing earrings.

My first stop for the day was NYFW on Fifth for the Influencers in Fashion Panel Discussion. Its always insightful to hear people speak on how they began their journey and the doors their chosen careers have opened for them. Amongst the panel were Nyakim Gatwech, Bri Wilburn, Nefatari Cooper, and Alexandria Dieck from Lexicon of Style.

I brunched around the corner from the venue then strutted to Kavan Hall’s Spring 2022 Show. Inspired by the 1930s Parisian culture, brush strokes were apparent throughout the entire collection as it payed homage to the time period that connected interior design, fashion, and theatre.

I love that the line was showcased by models that were diverse in age. It was such a pleasure seeing the great Coco Mitchell on the runway. She’s been a runway model for decades and I’m glad she’s still gracing the runway by phenomenal designers such as Kevan Hall.

I fell in love with this dress a couple of months ago and didn’t even think I would be able to get my hands on it. When I stumbled upon it at Target, I had to get it! Fast!

What makes it even better is that my shoes perfectly match the dress and the Brandon Blackwood pink ESR Bag color blocks perfectly.

I’m so glad that NYC has calmed down a bit. The past week has been wild.
