Yesterday’s ten degree weather did not keep style lovers away from NYFW. Even in the gusting wind, we still made our way into Skylight Clarkson and was able to be infused with what the FW 16 season will provide. I viewed the Leanne Marshall FW 16 collection yesterday and I fell in love! Her pieces were showcased at the Affinia Hotel last season. Not only was she able to move to Skylight this season, but she was also able to produce a better show including much more ravishing pieces while still sticking to her signature flowing pieces.
Leanne allowed the wind to shape her pieces.
She also provided intricately sculpted pieces such as this black silk charmeuse gown detailed with pleated tulle.
Leanne closed the show with a silver silk chiffon gown with pleated and texturized silk details which was nothing short of amazing.
While viewing the collection, I sat front row next to Mokshini Nadeesha, Illustrator for Ralph Lauren, and was completely blown away as she drew five minute sketches throughout the show.
I’m so proud of Leanne Marshall’s growth and all that she has accomplished.
I needed to be wrapped in wool for Day 3 as the degrees only dwindled throughout the day. Maroon was the color of the day as I wore a monochrome maroon look.
The wind was certainly shaping everyone’s pieces yesterday.

Wow wow wow. Those flowing gowns are juicy, sweet, beautiful and ravishing. The way the gowns flow will make you think that you are in heaven. Oyin, you are really doing a complementary and good job. More grease to you camera and laptop. If nobody is around to pat you at the back, please take a minute and pat yourself at the back. God bless you. Amen
