As if Issa Rae couldn’t be anymore legendary! From her years of “The Misadventures of Awkward Black Girl” series on her YouTube channel to HBO’s “Insecure”, Issa is at it again as she inks an eight-figure deal with Warner Media for film and television.
Although this is such an amazing opportunity, I’m honestly not surprised. I became familiar with Issa’s work during college as one of my colleagues introduced me to her “Awkard Black Girl” series. Years later, “Insecure” is such a hit! While I’m not surprised, I’m definitely super proud of all that Issa Rae has accomplished, her consistent support of black creatives and her ability to create engaging content time and time again.
Can’t wait to see the amazing work she’ll create with this new deal!
