Fashion Week is here again and this time, it’s all about the women! Day 1 wasn’t as hectic as I thought it could have been. Because of the blizzard, schools were closed as well as many jobs, therefore most people didn’t even bother leaving their homes, causing the roads to be clear for a smooth ride into NYFW. For Day 1, I decided to bring light to the gloomy day with my yellow custom crochet jacket.
I crocheted this piece last winter as a way to challenge myself to do sleeves and succeeded. After figuring out the math behind it all, it was actually pretty easy.
I paired it with a gold trimmed beige sweater and gray pants. Keeping the other pieces neutral felt perfect with the jacket being the main feature of the look.
My day began at Pier 59 with Paris Hilton slaying the runway at Christian Cowan, I viewed the Berenik presentation afterwards then headed over to Skylight for Michael Costello.
For footwear, I kept it simple in my wedge booties to keep me high from the snow.
My bag was pretty neutral as well.
My day ended at the Michael Costello afterparty which was amazing!
I’ve been staying away from parties lately and ended up staying much longer than the 30 minutes that I planned for. There was so much great energy that I couldn’t resist.
It’s only NYFW Day 1 so sit back and enjoy the ride for the days to come.
Check out my NYFW morning routine.
