We are in the midst of the cold winter days. The days when layering is absolutely necessary for most to stay warm. As fall fashion is fun because you get to enjoy 65 degree weather which grants you versatile opportunities such as choosing between wearing long sleeve or short sleeve , sweaters or jackets, winter does not offer those luxuries.
During the winter, most people have to wear jackets and coats. If you live in the north east region of America, a jacket/coat is a must as the weather may sometimes drop to 15 degrees. As we are very much settled into the winter season, its time to shake things up a bit and incorporate other forms of layers into our winter style. Why only wear jackets or coats when you can allow a poncho to add a bit of fun to your winter closet?
The blanket poncho can be worn several different ways but I chose to wear it with a belt, leading it to accentuate my waist as blanket ponchos tend to be shapeless.
Pairing this poncho with a cashmere sweater was just enough to keep me warm on this winter day.
A simple tote bag was the perfect compliment for this look along with burgundy booties.
Poncho Saks Fifth Avenue
Sweater Lawson
Belt Calvin Klein
Pants Calvin Klein

Bag Ralph Lauren
Don’t limit yourself to jackets and coats this winter. Wear a poncho… or 2. I know I will!
Until next time style lovers… xoxo
I love the way you accentuate the combination of layers and the colors. It shows that people can still wear colors in winter time. You look fun , fabulous, enticing, elegant, high fashion. Everything complement each other. I really love it. God will give you good health and long to keep doing what you know how to do best. Amen
