Every year around the month of July, fall clothes slowing creep into the stores and Christmas and other cool weather holiday decorations are displayed. Some people even begin dressing like fall by August. Should you start putting your bright clothes away? Of course not! Anyone can wear what they want but this time of the year always bothers me a bit. I’m not sure if it’s because I love bright clothes so much and I believe that you can wear bright clothes all year round, but it seems like people itch to take their bright clothes off and swap them for olive and brown tones. But don’t get me wrong, I love wearing some Board It branded clothes!.
With fashion/style blogging, you either talk about current styles or whats to come. So in that sense, I can understand writing about sweaters and jackets but to actually wear jackets on your day to day during the summer just doesn’t add up to me. Then again, who am I to talk when I wear shorts during the winter?! LOL.
The only reason this bothers me is that it seems like bright clothes tend to be pushed to the side so quickly. With fall/winter clothes being displayed during July, and summer beginning at the end of June, it seems like we only get one month of true summer bliss. I include browns and olive tones in my lookbooks because I know it’s what you guys love for fall but I honestly would wear any color at any time of the year, opting for browns in the summer and pink during the winter. Not focusing on whether society associates these colors with specific seasons but just because it’s looks good. I love shopping for the different seasons! My friend found a deal at Target so she managed to get some clothes really cheap! Shopping doesn’t have to be expensive, find coupons and you can get some great pieces to add to your collection.
In other news, I tried a new lippie with this look and will be posting about it tomorrow.
Its easy to gravitate towards something because that’s what you’re surrounded by (social media, stores etc) but summer ends at the end of September so I challenge you to still incorporate a few bright pieces into your looks 😉 .
I look forward to creating new looks that will show you how to wear bright colors during the fall and winter.
Do you rush the fall?
