Prior to owning this dress, I didn’t own any lace-up v-neck dresses or tops (at least none that I know of) although I was aware of it being all the rage last summer. Regardless of not partaking in trends that often, I enjoy speaking about it as I know some people need a few tips to help them slay in the trends they are currently loving. Nonetheless, I’ve always loved dresses featuring a deep v-neck so I knew this is a trend that I was going to end up liking at some point in time.
I didn’t like the original fit of the dress as it wasn’t flattering as a knee-length dress so I knew the only way it would look up to par was if it were a tighter or shorter. I decided to cut the bottom off instead of taking the sides in because I’m more comfortable in a loose dress than a tight dress.
I’m a lover of stripes, lines and of course the way red always makes my skin tone pop so I almost overdosed on red.
I’ve been pretty minimal with accessorizing lately, sticking to small necklaces that aren’t big enough to make much of a statement, yet small enough to get the job done.
I tend to overdo red when I wear it so of course I accessorized with red shoes. Why stop the overdose?
