It’s Men’s Week and I checked out the Gustav Von Aschenbach presentation yesterday at the Cadillac House. Because it’s a new line, I wasn’t sure what to expect but I somehow ended up coordinating with the theme by wearing this simple striped frock. Sometimes, it’s best to keep it simple. For my personal style, my definition of simplicity tends to be different from others. Because I tend to default to color blocking and mixing prints, wearing one print (especially a neutral one) is simple for me. I always like to spice things up a bit so I accessorized to keep this striped frock from being too plain.
When wearing simple pieces, I love to throw on sunnies! Although I never talk about sunnies on Befitting Style, they’re one of my favorite accessories and I absolutely love it! I don’t save my sunnies for the summer as I wear them throughout the year (yes even during the winter). It makes me feel incognito and perfect to throw on while running errands. I’ve been loving reflectives lately. It adds a bit of chic to any dull look.
I paired my layered necklaces with white tassle earrings.
The dress didn’t have much shape to it, which I usually love but since it’s already plain, I decided to cinch it at the waist for a bit of dimension. This used to be one of my favorite belts as I wore it a lot during my late high school and early college years.
Sticking to stripes, I wore a striped straw bag and paired it with strappy sandals.
