Pre NYFW | Beverly Johnson’s Memoir Launch

NYFW officially begins today and last night I attended a launch event for Beverly Johnson’s memoir, The Face That Changed It All. The event was great and filled with fashion enthusiasts as it was held at the Museum of The City of New York and hosted by Andre Leon Tally. I wore a  Diane Von Furstenberg dress. This has become one of my favorite dresses as it is very breathable, therefore allowing me to dance the night away without any problems.

I paired this DVF frock with a Kate Spade clutch and Schutz shoes.

It was truly a pleasure to meet the legendary Beverly Johnson as she paved the way for black models. It is very important to honor pioneers and she is truly a trailblazer as she walked a road not travelled by breaking barriers.

It’s truly honored to meet a legend. She was and still is a beautiful pioneer. The night really glamorized her, just look at her really down to earth. It is good as you sat beside her learning from the legend.
