Mixing The Old For The New | General Idea SS18

Mixing The Old With The New | General Idea SS18 - Befitting Style

The General Idea SS18 collection was showcased on July 13th at Skylight Clarkson. Filled with so many brights and vivacious stripes and patterns, one can definitely see that the old styles were definitely mixed with the new. It’s clear to see that the collection was very inspired by scarf designs that are reminiscent of the silk scarves from the 1970s.

I love when a runway show has a bit of character to it so instead of all the models walking, as usual, some whipped out their cell phones, indicating that this line appeals to the millennials on the go as the models were glued to their phones while pushing suitcases.

Flared sleeves and sleeveless vests were paired with solid loose fit pants.

A bit of neutral was infused into the collection with accented brights.

With all these beautiful patterns, I think it’s safe to say that stripes are here to stay. I don’t think they’ll be going anywhere for a while.

I can’t wait for this collection to release! In the meantime, you can shop their current collection.

What do you think of the General Idea SS18 collection?
