Introducing a collection that is minimal, yet detailed, Miguel Vieira was inspired by Africa. Even though he is a world renowned designer, the Portugal based designer decided to debut his SS17 collection in NY for the first time.
Infusing safari like patterns into his neutral looks made the collection wearable for those who like to stick with simplicity.
He also incorporated a bit of lace and ruffles.
As much as I love women’s wear, the subtlety of men’s wear in this collection is really what blew my mind. I’m not one to care for simple looks that often but Miguel Vieira presented this in such a chic way that it speaks to those who prefer simple looks as well as those who like to jazz things up.
The broaches are my favorite accessories of the collection!
The mixed prints and fabrics continues into women’s wear as he mixed striped sequins with solids.
Can sheer pieces ever get old? I don’t think so.
I absolutely love this collection and so glad that he showcased it in NY instead of sticking to his usual European Fashion Weeks.
What do you think of the collection?
