Many beauty brands boast about being long lasting therefore convincing you to add their product to your collection. I’ve been wanting to try the Huda Beauty Faux Filter Foundation for a while now. It’s taken me this long because it was hard to find my shade in stock in stores as its been sold out online. Once I found a branch that had it in stock, I instantly got shade matched, grabbed the 540G shade and was excited to finally try the foundation that boasts to provide a filter-like finish. My recent purchases also included the Fenty Beauty Stunna Lip Paint so I decided to try them out together!

Huda Beauty Faux Filter Foundation
-It blends well with my skin tone, almost providing a “My skin but better” finish.
-Thick in consistency.
-Very easy to apply.
-Although it doesn’t provide a “filter-like finish”, it’s still a beautiful matte finish.
-My shade (540G) is the 2nd to the darkest shade provided and it’s very disappointing when companies don’t consider women with darker skin tones. The Faux Filter foundation shade range could have easily included 4 shades darker than me, instead of just 1.
-It didn’t stay matte for as long as expected. The video displays periodic updates during the 12-hour wear but Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Poreless Foundation lasts longer than the Huda Beauty Faux Filter Foundation.
Fenty Beauty Stunna Lip Paint
-A little goes a long way. No need to double dip (which I absolutely love!).
-Very lightweight therefore it doesn’t feel hard. The finish is softer than the usual dry feel (which I’m always okay with) of a liquid matte lipstick.
-I’m so comfortable with wearing this lipstick that I don’t feel too bad for cheating on Sephora Always Red as it’s been my usual for 5 years.
-It’s not transfer proof like most matte liquid lipsticks. Although only a little bit transfers, I’m used to a matte liquid lipstick that has no transfer (like Colour Pop).
-Very thin in consistency, making it easier for those who are novices in applying liquid lipstick to mess up when putting it on.
