Happy weekend! Now that NYFW is over, I can get back to bringing you weekend looks. This weekend, we’ll be focusing on one of my favorite styles: wrap dresses. I’ve always noticed that many tend to revert to wearing dark colors once the weather begins to cool down. I am the complete opposite of that as I believe in wearing bright colors throughout the year. This post does not feature super bright wrap dresses, but it provides tips on keeping your look bright through strategic accessorizing, regardless of the dress color that you choose to wear. I can’t talk about wrap dresses without featuring a couple pieces from the Queen of Wrap Dresses, Diane Von Furstenberg. A wrap dress has been a part of her signature style for many years. With DVF being in the mix, a few of these pieces are a bit pricey (but they’re worth it). As usual, I was sure to include dupes for a few of the pricey pieces.
Starting off with this DVF dress, green is usually easier for people to wear during the Fall. A great way to keep this look bright is by accessorizing with different shades of green and don’t be shy with the mixed patterns. It brings a bit more flare to the look.

So I guess I have a thing for tasseled earrings. I love it so much that I had to include it in this second look. Although this look features a bit of black, wearing accessories composed of silver hardware as well as a bright red heel takes a look from potentially being dull and brightens it up.

Olive can be such a dull color. While trying to keep it bright, pairing olive with pale pink truly lightens up the look. Rather than clashing, they compliment each other. As olive is considered a staple fall color, one can “look like fall” but still exude the warmth and air that wearing warm toned accessories produces.
