Everytime I blog about any purple apparel, I get excited! Mainly due to assuming that purple never favored me during my early adolescent years. I thought I had to stick to other bright colors and purple was a color that I absolutely couldn’t wear. Clearly, I was wrong! Purple isn’t one of my favorite colors but when choosing what to wear, I wear what looks on good on me rather than allowing my favorite color to hinder me from exploring other complimenting tones. I began wearing purple two years ago and I enjoy wearing it ever since.
I wear plaid sparingly as I prefer other prints, yet I still incorporate it into my looks because plaid at times can be quite fab.
This look is a compilation of some old and new pieces.
From a distance, the top seems like a mesh, yet once you get up close and personal, you are able to see that there is a bit more detailing than a mesh fabric. It actually favors crochet. You may recognize the top from a previous post about summer layers.
I wore a bandeau underneath the top because when dealing with mesh or mesh like clothing, sometimes I prefer opting for a bandeau than a regular bra.
This skirt is also an oldie but goodie as my fondest memory of it is wearing it for Nerd Day during my senior year in High School. Because of the length of time that I’ve had the skirt, I am unable to tell you where it’s from as I cannot remember but I will be sure to link a purple plaid pleated skirt below. Although Its not too similar to mine, the skirt allows you to pull off a similar look to this one.
The bag is yet another oldie but goodie but the shoes are new and will definitely be one of my favorites for this spring/summer.
