I always appreciate the little details in clothing. As a little kid, ruffled items always appealed to my eyes. I didn’t fall in love with all ruffles but I still appreciated the art of the ones that didn’t pertain to my personal style. Somewhere between 10th or 11th grade, I purchased a brown ruffled blazer and decided to wear it at a conference where I represented my school in Albany, NY. Its about ten years later and the hoarder within me kept the blazer and decided to whip it out during NYFW.
I feel like I’m wearing quite a bit of oldies but goodies this season but I can’t help it. Even the new pieces that I’m wearing aren’t so new. I’ve had them for a while and never got around to wearing them.
I went for a neutral look with a touch of maroon. I love pairing browns and maroons together as maroon is a darker version of red that almost looks brown. This almost makes me feel monochromatic, which you know I love.
I accessorized with golds, browns, and a touch of red.
I don’t wear jackets often. I’m more of a blazer kind of girl so pairing this blazer with a dusty pink turtleneck kept me warm.
I whipped out one of my favorite pair of boots for the look and I was good to go for Day 3 of NYFW.
Do you wear ruffled clothing?
