The Royal Wedding took place yesterday at Windsor Castle’s ST. George’s Chapel and guests showed up and showed out in support of the union of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. From Oprah Winfrey to the Beckhams and the Ohanians, this was definitely a star-studded event. The dress code for men was a “morning suit or lounge suit” and a “day dress with hat” for women as stated in the wedding invitations.
The day was filled with several style experts chatting about those who beautifully followed the dress code. Amongst those experts is the author of How To Slay, Constance White who spoke live with Sky News about how the attendees slayed the event.
I can’t talk about the guest without mentioning the bride!
Meghan Markle stepped into the ceremony in a Givenchy Haute Couture gown designed by Clare Waight Keller.
My top picks for the best dressed wedding guests are in no particular order so lets kick it off with Oprah!
Oprah wore a Stella McCartney Dress which the Stella McCartney team created the night before the wedding as stated in a video where she thanked the brand for working through the night. Sticking to neutrals, she paired the dress with a Demi Gabriella Hearst bag, strutted into the church in Malone Soulier mules and topped it off with a Philip Treacy hat.
The Clooneys arrived with Amal Clooney in a yellow midi dress with a Stephen Jones Millinery hat.
Priyanka Chopra started off looking regal in a purple custom Vivienne Westwood suit for the ceremony then changed into a golden Dior Pre-Fall ’18 gown for the reception.
The Ohanians arrived with Serena Williams in a blush-toned Versace dress.
Meghan Markle switched into a Stella McCartney gown for her reception, then was rode off with her Prince.
